Never had any issues. Vag parts aren't cheap but the reliability of the car makes up for this. there are also plenty of oem suppliers these days.

The car has been fantastic for the short period of time that we have had it. It has suffered from a couple of issues, one of which happened whilst we were away from home, but Audi dealt with the problem immediately and the fault was fixed by their mobile team.

Very reliable, solid car, no problems. Excellent service from Audi dealer.

Mary4 months ago

Big problems with injectors which was a recall issue.exhaust gas recirculation unit needed changing

Fionas_Boy4 months ago

Very, very nice car indeed. No mechanical problems, very smooth to drive, excellent on both motorway and around town. Not cheap, but build quality and materials make it very good value compared to Ford, Vauxhall etc. I would get another.

Fireboy4 months ago

Car good but poor at fault finding - needs problem to happen and stay , so that fault can register on system so they can plug computer in and see problem

Mary4 months ago

I have had one about 5 small problems since I purchased the car all the ones in the first 3 years were fixed under warrenty the other 2 were coil packs failing and repaired by the AA. just had to pay for the parts. I like the car, it is sylish, feels well built, comfortable to drive on long distances and is responsive. I will definately consider another Audi when the time comes to change my car.

excellent every day car, easy, simple and cheap to run. brilliant build quality and a nice place to be on long journeys..

the way i sum up my car is that i am very pleased overall with the car, and i rate the car good to excellent

Oly problem has been a broken spring on rear suspesion. Main dealer is expensive now out of warranty so servicing at local independant.

R2_Amazeballs4 months ago

This is the second a3 exactly the same I have had in succession based on reliability, mpg, driving experience. Servicing costs were expensive but had ot be done by main dealer under warranty.

Fireboy4 months ago

No problems encountered since purchase, though less than one year

Excellant car (its an SE so the suspension is not hard). The 1.8 Turbo engine is perhaps the best compromise between performance and economy - far better than a grumbly diesel, and with more linear torgue delivery. Build quality is faultless and styling is still perfect (understaled but classy)

Fionas_Boy4 months ago

A very economical car to run with superb styling and build quality.

Porker4 months ago

No major problems since purchase. Fine for this car, age and milage considered.

R2_Amazeballs4 months ago

We said that Audi had raised the quality bar in the family hatchback class with the latest A3, and owners agree, placing the car 6th for build quality of all cars surveyed in Driver Power 2015.

Fireboy4 months ago

With no warning the DMF went at 70,000, destroying the clutch at the same time - I was about a month out of warranty which meant that the whole £1700 bill was down to me - not impressed.

MechExp4 months ago

Minor nigles. headlight problem. drivers seat problem. Good mpg. tyres wear well. uses no oil. has not had a service yet. so no idia of that cost.

MechExp4 months ago

No problems to date. Mpg does not meet manufacturers figuresservicing every 20k.

Red4 months ago

A very good car with typical Audi build quality. Only niggles are over firm ride and could be quieter, little bigger boot would be good too

Gary19964 months ago

Generally ok, had a misfire soon after purchasing which was fixed following replacement of fuel filter and spark plugs. no problems since

Gary19964 months ago

I love my car! It's reliable and it's very easy to drive. I feel completely in control of it and it's very comfortable. It's the right size for my needs and isn't expensive to run.

Bri19874 months ago

Absolutely no problems thus far. Thes are only tax and fuel so far.

Mary4 months ago

Zero faults. Has only needed one service, at 19,000 miles.

Pete_W4 months ago

Cv joint problems. Good economy when driven sensibly. parts are expensive. ł280 for n/s driveshaft to replace cv joint.

Porker4 months ago

Hasn't missed a beat in nearly three years. Servicing a little pricey.

MechExp4 months ago

Elsewhere it’s mixed results for the Audi, though, which posts disappointing practicality and ride quality ratings, but redeems itself with excellent performance, reliability and handling, and a very intuitive MMI media interface that’s much-admired by drivers. At 27th place overall, the A3 is a solid investment, say family buyers.

MechExp4 months ago

Unbeatable combination of style, reliabilty, performance and economy. It is only let down by a dated looking CD/radio display screen and the fog/spot light warning lights are hidden from view.

MechExp4 months ago

The car is not exciting but it is well built and reliable and I can drive a very long way on a tank of diesel.

Watergirl4 months ago

Just an easy car to use, no trouble with any thing on it. Ł50 a week. only had two front tyres so far.

Bri19874 months ago

Audi is a good make and 5 door hatchback is just what we wanted. Could be better.

Pete_W4 months ago

A very good quality product - has been reliable and a joy to own

Pete_W4 months ago

Car done over 150,000 miles engine rebuild 10,000 miles ago , regular serviced by eurocar & rebuild. Engine rebuild & new turbo ł2,000.

Audi A3 fuel tank fault

Lovely, though not as well appointed or el built as y first Audi A3. There have definiftely been economies made at Audi. Will look at Audi/VW or even Skoda brand next time to keep it in the reliable family.

Col Minessota4 months ago

Apart from hard ride (which I was aware off prior to purchase ) the car does exactly what I expected in all areas of ownership. Its a compact hatchback, and has handled the loads and passenger needs, including driving abroad, very pleased. Previous three cars all VW`s, so I had a good guide as to what I should be getting.... and I got that a smart reliable, sporty compact hatch with very good build and it ticks all the boxes.

Corrie19994 months ago

A very good honest car that does a lot of work and never causes me any problems. Very good spec and the dealer service is A*. My car is the A3 3 door sport and has an Audi styling kit on it and looks classy. This was my 1st Audi and my next car will be an Audi A5 for sure. Well done Audi.

Corrie19994 months ago

No problems so far. Serviced at an independent audi specialist garage reasonable costs for servicing. mpg, audi claim 48 but day to day driving I average 38 on longer journeys taking it steady 42 ! a little disappointed.

Clutch plate worn out ... replaced plate, but problem still exist (£900 cost to me) - thrust plate then replaced (under warranty) problem fixed...

Pete_W4 months ago
