patronus
Which patronus were you given?
What is your favourite season?
What is your ultimate goal in life?
Which is your favourite HP book?
What is your home town?

If it makes you feel better, the quiz is not only random but also rather inconsistent across all witches and wizards here.

Wow I'm an idiot. I didn't realize you had to think of the one memory when answering all the questions. I thought it was just for the first question. Before the quiz started it should have said think about the memory... Wasn't really enough time to think of one before the first question.

So far I've also seen people get deerhound, marsh harrier, and sparrowhawk. :)

Little Owl (which was unusual and with a different 6th question than the ones currently listed but I also can't remember it right now. I'll update this if it comes back to me.)

I'm sorry to hear that hope you're okay

So I did a few tries earlier (oh and btw, if people are wondering how people are doing multiple tries, it's more than likely they're deleting their account and remaking it (google it));

I got a Little Owl (unusual), googled it and those mfs are adorable

And today, the site is equipped to answer another question that Potter fans have long pondered: what form their Patronus would take.

The author says she wrote the quiz herself, but that because she got to take it before and after it went live, she was one of the rare few who was able to change her result. First she landed a pine marten (kind of like a weasel), and then was assigned a heron.

Glitter -> Blood -> Stone -> Alone -> Listen = Mole

I've reset about 8 or 9 times now. White Stallion was kmy best, but then I got Pukwudgie and had no option but to reset I got a Fox this time so fingers crossed for the Ivermorny test

The quiz itself is simple and beautiful. You swirl through the woods chasing a magical dot and occasionally stop to choose your favorite word of two or three provided, such as "sweet" and "salt." You're instructed that the quiz is timed, so choose quickly. After about a half-dozen choices, your mystical Patronus appears.

Rats are more commonly used in science than mice-- they're a lot smarter. They do have a negative connotation, but that's only because of the plague.

Edit: one of the later questions had only two options, Myth or Legend I'm trying to remember more but my mind was foggy when I took the quiz, I figured it would help my instincts.

I agree. She said that she took the test twice; once in the first stages and again when it was finished. Her Patronus changed. To me she's basically saying that people should be able to get the chance to change it...otherwise why would she say that she took it twice?

Dream > Bright > Around > Lost > Spirit

See our handy visual guide to help you through.

Very rare apparently. I never thought i'd get it. If there was any rare patronus i thought i'd get it was Thestral. The reason i really love the Dragon though is because the first time i took the test i was dishonest but the second time i was honest and ended up with something awesome.

Finally someone else that got one. At first I was apprehensive but when I read mythology about them I felt that it was actually a very fitting patronus for me. They symbolize refinement, virtue, nobility, sexuality, beauty, and protection/concealment. Overall I'm very pleased with my results.

And can I take your results as confirmation that I had grouped the Ilvermorny questions correctly?

I got a Hippogriff but with different answers... Thorn, Salt, Stone, Free, Mind, Frost, Impossible

Mine is a dolphin as well which was my husband's favorite animal growing up. When I told him, he was so touched and proud!

Edit: I FINALLY GOT AN ABRAXAN! Okay, so I tested it twice:

Retake Patronus Test

Result: Basset Hound (I feel this is the truer of the two)

I totally agree. The pottermore quizzes have random sets of questions which for a personality test means you have zero retakeablility which gives a very low accuracy rate. It's pissin' me off. Hopefully somebody can make a version online with every possible question and result :)

Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is the North American school of magic. You can find out more about Ilvermorny in the writing by J.K. Rowling.

Glow > Bone > Preen > Who > Spirit > Awake > Serenity = Unicorn

A dragon is literally the coolest Patronus out there man! (Poor Evanna Lynch got a salmon)

I just went with what word truly called me and went with my instinct.

According to JK, the majority of patronuses are non-magical creatures and patronuses of magical creatures are very rare, so in that sense it seems lucky. Though if you're the type of person who's prefer to be normal, maybe you'd consider it bad.

I'm happy with Manx patronus. Sure, I took the test a few times, but honestly, the test isn't very good.

People are making 6-7 accounts just to retake quiz?!?

You can only take the Patronus test once per account. But you could create a second account using a separate email to take the test again.

My answers were: * Glow (Shine/Glitter/Glow) * Warm (Warm/Cold) * Earth (Stone/Wood/Earth) * Found (Found/Lost) * Touch (Watch/Listen/Touch) * Awake (Awake/Asleep) * Eternal (Eternal/Impossible)

I got a Shark (unusual) for my first one, then Mole and Wolf (regular) and finally a Granian Winged Horse (very rare).

If you log on to pottermore.com, you'll be immediately greeted by "Discover your Patronus," right on the homepage. In case you forgot, a Patronus is a difficult-to-master charm that summons a wizard's spirit guardian, usually taking the form of an animal. Your Patronus is usually a reflection of your true personality, and only those who are "pure of heart" are able to cast a Patronus spell.
