If ultimately you want to get your dog to get your slippers and a newspaper, the first step is to teach the names of things. You can do the same with people (using the training stick), his food bowl, lead and favourite toy.
well it be good if mine can pick it poo up
Step 2: Repeat about thirty times. This teaches your dog to associate the click with the treat.
The fundamental of training your dog is to teach him to pay attention. Say his name then click and reward him when he looks at you. Repeat this several times until it is reliable. You may initially just be rewarding a slight movement of his head towards you, but shape the behaviour so that you eventually get actual eye contact and longer periods of attention.

Keep repeating these steps until your dog raises his foot automatically every time you give the command. If your dog needs a little encouragement to lift his foot off the ground, gently tap the inside of his knee with your finger until he bends his leg.
Step 3: To maintain this connection it is important to follow the rule: Never click without treating and......
Before teaching your dog any of this I suggest getting your dog used to the sound of the piano first, then after that if its small have them in your lap while you play a song or two if they are larger sit them next to you(:

Destin and Jersey: To only get on the bed when we want you on the bed. They’ve done great to remain off all the other furniture in the house, but not our bed. And despite its King size, there’s just not enough room! (UPDATE: We finally achieved this! Now our dogs rest their chins on the mattress and wait until we say “okay” before they jump up on the bed.)
Have your pup sit-stay, say “Beg” and raise the lure a head’s length above the puppy’s nose, so that it lifts its front paws of the ground and sits back on its haunches. If the pup jumps up, lower the lure and move it backwards a tad. Initially, it may be easier practicing this exercise in a corner, so the puppy may lean against the walls to keep balance.

Lucky for you, all of these tricks are optional. 😀 You don’t have to train any you don’t want.
I most certainly will NOT teach my dogs how to open the fridge door. All I need is for them to clean it out while I’m away or just not paying attention. They are very good at noticing when my back is turned when they are attempting to get away with something anyway. At least my Golden is….

How to teach your dog tricks
The basic commands are among the most important things that every dog should know. How many does your dog know?
This version of How to Teach Your Dog Tricks was reviewed by Pippa Elliott, MRCVS on October 23, 2015.
(Clicking on the following links will take you to step-by-step instructions for each dog trick, along with photos taken during the training process.)
I taught my dog to crawl by running my hand with a treat on the ground in front of him (when he’s laying down) very slowly to start and saying “crawl” repeatedly.
Instruct your pup to sit and beg, and then raise the lure a couple of head-lengths, so the puppy stands on its hind legs. Once the pup can balance for several seconds, it may be enticed to walk forwards or to circle as above.
I love reading your posts, very light dialogue. Nice.
Yes, your dog may already shower you with kisses on a daily basis, but now you can actually teach them to kiss you on command. This video walks you through the training process step by step, showing you how to eventually work up to the final kiss. For this trick you’ll need something sticky like tape or a post-it, treats, and a clicker. The dog in this training video not only learned how to kiss his owner, but he even learned to kiss his cat friend!
Step 1: Wait until he sits down on his own. Click and treat.
That said, some dogs are not that food motivated, so it can be difficult to find what they like. Sometimes very small cubes of cheese will work, though in large quantities they can give a dog an upset stomach due to lactose intolerance. Small pieces of BBQ chicken also work for those fussy toy breeds. It also helps to train when your dog is hungry, so do a short 10 minute session before breakfast or dinner.
While this trick may seem like something to leave to the professionals, if you are a dog owner who is persistent, patient, and has high determination, it is definitely doable. In comparison to tricks like “Shake Hands” or “Spin,” this trick may seem complex, but really it is just as easy to achieve if you put the work and effort in. Big or small, any dog is capable of learning this if their owner is just as determined.
Sometimes a dog will have trouble learning a new trick. For example, not all dogs can learn to fetch. Some dogs have more instinct (they are born with it) than others when it comes to carrying things in their mouths.
Repeat the command “high five” whilst gently tapping one of his feet. Most dogs will raise their foot to paw at the treat in your other hand.
My dog picked it up in seconds, he’s a beagle. what breed of dog is yours? You literally get a nice treat and raise it above their head until they jump.
No, this is not the stick you beat your dog with when he gets it wrong. We only believe in positive reinforcement when training your dog. The training stick is a long stick or piece of dowel that you can use as an indicator for your dog. You can use it to point at things and also for your dog to jump over or go around. It needs to be around 30cm long.
Remember to always keep training sessions short to reduce frustration and enhance concentration, 10 minutes is perfect. Remember to always reward after clicking your dog and reward within 3 seconds. The more you train with your dog, the more he will experiment with behaviours during training sessions to work out what you want him to do. When teaching a difficult command, you can give your dog a ‘jackpot’ of lots of treats and a big cuddle and praise when he finally gets it right.
Once you and your dog have those basic things down, then it’s time to move onto the fun dog tricks…
