Our pre-school is run by parents and we are a registered charity, so any money made goes back into the pre-school. This also enables us to keep our fees as low as possible to be inclusive for all families. We actively support some charities and local events within the village of Shireoaks, such as the Carnival and the local toddler group, ‘Tiddlers’. We also work closely with the two local Children’s Centres.

Everyone who walks through our doors are treated as individuals; we understand and embrace that every child and their families are different. All of our staff are parents themselves so understand what it is like to leave your child. We believe that you can only tell if something is right for your child and family by coming in and visiting us, speaking to the staff and getting the chance to see our pre-school with happy children in it, then you can see for yourself exactly what we have to offer.

We are located in a semi-rural setting, looking out onto open fields in the village of Shireoaks, Nottinghamshire. The building was purpose built with lottery funding offering an all-weather outdoor area, with artificial grass and a soft surface playground. All the staff within the pre-school are qualified in their roles up to Level 5.

We firmly believe that children learn best through play. Play helps young children to learn and develop through doing and talking, which research has shown to be the means by which young children learn to think. We , provide a range of play activities, children decide how they will use the activity and, in others, an adult takes the lead in helping the children to take part in the activity.
You will have the opportunity to spend the day in a primary school, observing different lessons within different key stages. You will also have the opportunity to meet a current trainee working within the school and be able to discuss different routes into teaching.
