We're here to help your school to add information for parents.

This information is provided as a guide only. The areas from which pupils are admitted to a school can change from year to year to reflect the number of siblings and pupils admitted under high priority admissions criteria.

The 2016 Family Adventure Holiday programme is uploaded. Running during the school holidays prices start from £105 (adult) and £84 (under 14) for a 2 night break or cheaper still if you camp!

This map shows where pupils currently attending the school live

For some schools, the heat map may be a useful indicator of the catchment area but our heat maps are not the same as catchment area maps. Catchment area maps, published by the school or local authority, are based on geographical admissions criteria and show actual cut-off distances and pre-defined catchment areas for a single admission year.

See Pupil heat maps FAQs for more information about the source of pupil heat map data.

Our heat maps use groups of postcodes, not individual postcodes, and have naturally soft edges. All pupils are included in the mapping (i.e. children with siblings already at the school, high priority pupils and selective and/or religious admissions) but we may have removed statistical ‘outliers’ with more remote postcodes that do not reflect majority admissions.

Parent Support & Information  Morning     Storytelling with Clive Pig Some of the representatives in attendance included West Devon Borough Council, Action for Hearing Loss, Citizens Advice, Okehampton Library, Hatherleigh Children's Centre. ENTERTAININGLY DIFFERENT!

All students make excellent progress from their generally below-average starting points. The proportions gaining at least five GCSE passes at grades A* to C, including English and Mathematics, are consistently high year on year, and in 2013 well of half of A-level entries were passed at grades A*, A or B. Late availability for 10th October (3 night break at Bracken Tor), 30th October (3 nights at Bracken Tor Lodge).  2017 availability for Groups on weeks commencing 8/5/2017, 5/6/2017, 26/6/2016 (40 beds only) and 3/7/2016 (76 beds).

The sixth form is outstanding. Students benefit from the high quality teaching found across the school and hence their achievement on A-level and other courses is excellent. OFSTED 2014

The governors, the principal and the staff have created an outstandingly caring and supportive community where students flourish and develop as individuals. OFSTED

This School Guide heat map has been plotted using official pupil data taken from the last School Census collected by the Department for Education. It is a visualisation of where pupils lived at the time of the last School Census (released annually in July).

3 steps to help parents gather catchment information for a school:

Due to number of reforms to GSCE reporting introduced by the government in 2014, such as the exclusion of iGCSE examination results, the official school performance data may not accurately report a school’s full results. For more information, please see About and refer to the section, ‘Why does a school show 0% on its GSCE data dial? In many affected cases, the Average Point Score will also display LOW SCORE as points for iGCSEs and resits are not included.
