More than 100 children aged between two and 16 took part in the Haydock School of Dance open day at the Leyland Methodist Church Hall.
The show also helped raise more than 100 for Diabetes UK.
Byrchall High School is a modern, forward looking school, rich in traditional values. Ours is a school where high standards of attainment and behaviour are expected from every student; each individual matters and everyone has something special to contribute.
Mrs. Haydock continues to play an active role in the day to day running of the school and states, “I consider it a great honour that I remain The Principal of a school that has seen so many children progress into Secondary Education and have become confident and caring adults, some of which are now bringing their children to Essendene Lodge School. Indeed, Essendene has been the school of choice for some of my own children and grandchildren because for me only the best will do!”
The youngsters come from across Chorley and Leyland and spent eight months preparing for Saturday's show.

Open day dates for the school year 2016-17 are as follows:
Mrs. Haydock and her children have all contributed to the school’s development. The Haydock family have always managed the school, most notably Mr. Stephen Haydock who was Headteacher from 2003- 2010. During this time the school continued to grow in numbers and received an outstanding stamp from Ofsted. Mr. Haydock continued with the family ethos and the school became popular and well known in the local area.
We would like to remind you about the importance of good attendance and punctuality, which as a school we take very seriously. Days off school soon add up and missing lessons makes it hard to catch up, resulting in students having to work harder when they come back and missing vital information that will prevent their progress. There are 175 non-school days a year for holidays, cultural experiences and family time.
Angela, a former professional dancer who lives in Clayton-le-Woods, said: "My fiancee Richard and my grandmother both have diabetes so it's a subject very close to by heart."
The pace of curriculum change continues to accelerate, for example introducing a more flexible Key Stage 3. Our constant planning offers confidence for successful delivery and assessment of these areas.

The Haydock School of Dance has been going for nearly five years and holds most of its lessons at the Spring Meadow Community Centre, in Clayton-le-Woods.
Over the last few years we have been successful in achieving Sportsmark, Investors in People, Artsmark, Careers and Guidance and Healthy Schools accreditation. We were also awarded the accolade of a ‘Get Set’ school in the run-up to the 2012 London Olympics.
At Haydock High School our mission is to care for and support each student so that they fulfil their potential, make outstanding progress and become successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens. We will be relentless in developing our skills, and work with our parents, Governors and wider partners to ensure that every student is known, contributes to our community and is fulfilled in achieving their ambitions.
We encourage every student to achieve high standards and to develop an enthusiastic, problem-solving approach to their work so that they feel confident with their academic and social skills, inside and outside school. We strive to ensure that all children reach their potential.
"Lots of people said afterwards how much they'd enjoyed it. It was our fifth show and I felt it was the best yet. What's great is all the parents really get involved by making the costumes."

Essendene Lodge was established as an independent school in 1966 by Mrs. Shirley Haydock.
The aim has always been to provide a happy, family friendly and stimulating environment where each child was encouraged to reach their full potential. We create a stimulating atmosphere where learning becomes a natural and welcome part of a child’s development. We believe it is crucial to create a secure environment in order to build the confidence of the developing child.
