If you haven't got ant buckets, why not draw targets on a wall with chalk or on paper which is then stuck to the wall? These can be different shapes and sizes and placed at different heights to provide higher levels of challenge.

We challenged some of our children to think about how we could spread the message about Health & Safety and they created Candy Floss... a superhero zebra on a mission to keep all children safe! From keeping play areas tidy, to crossing the road, to fire drills - Candy Floss is now our official Heath and Safety mascot – he is present in all nurseries and helps children understand how they can stay safe and help each other safe too.

The children at Englefield Green Nursery and Preschool have been looking at road safety. We've been painting our own traffic lights and making our own one way system round the garden.

We also love to hear what you have been doing at the weekend and about anything that your child does at home, these activities can be easily incorporated into our learning stories and can help us plan activities to further develop your child’s learning. If you are interested in learning at home take a look at our activities written by our early years specialists.
