Registration takes place by completing the registration form that is included with the prospectus information book, and sending this along with a registration fee of £100 to the Admissions Department (Overton House, 131 High Street, Berkhamsted, HP4 2DJ).

We will invite all children seeking admission to Berkhamsted Prep from 7+ (Year 3) to attend appropriate entry assessments (excluding those children currently attending Berkhamsted Pre-Prep). The entrance assessment at 7+ to 10+ for entry to Berkhamsted Prep is made up as follows:

Admission to the Sixth Form is dependent upon achieving at least five B grades and two C grades at GCSE and a grade B, or better, in the four subjects chosen for A Level (an A* and A in the Religious Studies Short Course can count as one of the B grades and a B as one of the C grades).

Overseas students, once registered, are required to sit entrance tests in English and Maths (each of one hour duration) under exam conditions at the nearest British Council office, through a recognised partner agent, or at their current school. A reference from the student’s current school is also required.
