The town is served by a bus network provided by Stagecoach in Northants, Centrebus and Soul Brothers with local Wellingborough buses W1, W2, W3 and W4 linking the town centre (Church Street) with local suburbs and villages.[49] Departing every 30 minutes the X4 service also links the town with Milton Keynes, Northampton, Kettering, Corby, Oundle and Peterborough.[50] Other routes include 45, X46 and X47.[49]

Dear all, I know you're all extremely concerned about Tom. The very good news is that he woke up by himself, without having to be brought out of the induced coma. He recognised us, which was extremely important and was able to communicate by nodding 'yes' and 'no'. He was trying to ask me something, but had a tube in his mouth, and indicated he wanted pen and paper. The nurse provided it and he wrote 'what was my time'. He was quite upset when I told him he was a DNF! We knew we had Tom back!

The Borough Council have approved major building work to the East of the main town of Wellingborough as part of the government's 'Milton Keynes and South Midlands plan'. The area called 'Stanton Cross' will increase the size of the town by 30%.[1]

London commuters, he said, tend to favour four bedroom, detached houses on one of newer estates a mile or so from the centre of Wellingborough where prices range from £225,000 to £300,000, and they typically use bicycles to travel to and from the station.
