Vehicles Commercial vehicles (a vehicle used for carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site. The speed limit is 10 mph.

By bus, take the 108 or 508 from Penrith to Patterdale, disembarking either at Pooley Bridge and then walking over the River Eamont and along the footpath; or at Ullswater Steamer Pier then crossing the road through the wood and following the signs for Waterfoot Park (this will take approximately 10-15 minutes).

Waterfoot is classified as a small village or hamlet by the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency, i.e. with a population between 500 and 1,000 inhabitants. On Census Day, 29 April 2001, 504 people were recorded as living in Waterfoot.[3] Of these:

Waterfoot is on the Antrim coast and has a 1 mile (1.6 km) beach. The village is at the foot of Glenariff, one of the Glens of Antrim. The village is also known as Glenariff.

Everything. Very clean and tidy site. Quiet, good location for touring the Northern Lakes. Spotless toilets and showers. Excellent service on arrival. No booking problems and mid-week rates are very reasonable.

You will need to bring the following items: bedding - sheets/duvet/pillows OR sleeping bags etc, cooking equipment, eating equipment and toiletries etc.

The touring area offers excellent facilities for caravans, motor-homes and their awnings. Facilities include accessible toilet and shower block, washing-up and laundry areas, baby-changing and recycling point. All touring pitches are hard standing and have electric, television and water hook-up with grey waste drainage.

clean and tidy site with very clean toilets and showers only downside ladies toilets at rear on block nor very good at night.only short walk down to pooley bridge village with good pubs serving excellent foodwill definetly be back for another visit next year.very easy to travel around area we even went over the border to Scotland only short drive.local supermarket in penrith with plenty of free parking even for our camper van.

Waterfoot today is, however, purely residential in character, having expanded in the latter half of the 20th century as a commuter dormitory hamlet. Although Waterfoot is relatively affluent, there are no shops or other services, with residents having to travel to other areas to access amenities. The 2001 census reported that Waterfoot had a population of 1,279. Waterfoot is also the home to Hi-Fi equipment company and record label, Linn Products.

Another short walk will take you to the Bronze Age stone circles of Moor Divock at Pooley Bridge, a collection of stone circles edged by its biggest, The Cockpit at 25 metres wide, which still has standing stones of up to a metre high. It’s one of around 50 stone circles around Cumbria: Swinside, Castle Rigg and Long Meg and her Daughters are three of the biggest and most visited.
