At Trawden Camping Barn we strive to cater for everybody. Unfortunately none of our facilities currently meets modern standardsof accessibility.

Trawden is a medium-sized village in the Trawden Forest parish of Pendle, at the foot of Boulsworth Hill, in Lancashire, England. Agriculture was the main industry of the village and surrounding area, although it did have several mills, most of which have now been demolished for, or converted to, housing.

In early 2014 we established what has already become a blooming juniors section. We often have over 40 children of all ages attend our Tuesday evening training, all under the watchful eyes of our junior coaching team. All our children enjoy and benefit from structured exercise plans and we already have some young race winners pushing through the ranks.

This converted barn is in an idyllic setting surrounded by meadows, 1 mile from Trawden village. There are plenty of opportunities for walking in the Forest of Trawden and on the South Pennine moors.

We had another very well attended Annual General Meeting at the Cotton Tree Inn last night - the lure of chip butties was clearly the clincher - it was great to see so many people there!

A year ago Chell and I were in Coniston listening to an unsettling rendition of Nessun Dorma and watching a foolhardy pack of runners set off on the Lakeland 100. As they disappeared into the hills we shivered and were glad to "only" be doing the Lakeland 50 the following day. Less than a week later Chell had somehow convinced not only herself but also me and Mick to give the 100 a go in 2016. To this day I've no idea how this happened…

We hold four regular weekly training sessions on Monday to Thursday evenings. You can check our training diary for further information.
