An impressive 30-bedroom building, surrounded by 10 acres of private ground, Rothley Court is an ideal wedding venue for up to 85 guests, with its own chapel, babbling brook and rose walk.

Our long established course is 6,501 yards off the white tees and is often rated in magazines and online reviews as one of the best in the county. Our policy of maintaining a smaller membership than other clubs means that the course is never over played and remains open and playable on almost every day of the year (including the greens). Tee availability is also easy.

Rothley has close links with its neighbouring village, Mountsorrel, which is 2 miles (3.2 km) to the north.

A perfect retreat to enjoy our seasonal menus, with dishes such as our British Beef and Old Speckled Hen ale pie or Black Angus steaks for the grill, perfectly accompanied with our cask ales, premium beers including Greene King IPA or Peroni and our fine wines.

We only use pre-booking of tee times for societies and for members’ competitions. Playing at Rothley Park means you can really enjoy the quiet fairways of one of Leicestershire’s finest courses.

Christians have met together in Rothley for over 1,000 years. Today we are a vibrant Anglican Evangelical community committed to reach out with the good news of Jesus Christ, to be built up as his disciples and to send people out to make God’s love known in the world.

Rothley centres on two greens, the Cross Green and the Town Green, both of which are reached by a road that leads from the crossroads. The crossroads lies on the old route of the A6 road, which now bypasses the village.

Our new chrome and brushed nickel finish Square Worktop Supports provide a beautiful, contemporary finish for modern breakfast bars and work surfaces.

Rothley is one of Europe's leading suppliers of DIY, hardware and garden products designed to help people improve their homes and gardens, supplying both the retail and trade markets.

The village acquired a station on the Great Central Railway, which is now part of the Great Central Steam Railway. The station has been used to film period drama such as the 1988 film Buster and the 2004 Miss Marple TV adaptation of 4.50 from Paddington (where the station stood in for Paddington).[4]

On leaving the A6, turn left at the lights and left again at the next crossroads, following the road for half a mile – and the hotel is on the left

Visitors are always assured of a warm welcome to the Club by all at Rothley Park.

Rothley is one of Leicestershire's most affluent areas based on number of houses worth more than £1 million – especially in some streets such as The Ridgeway,[5] identified in the Sunday Times as the most expensive place to live in the East Midlands.[6]

On the banks of a burn near the village are several rocks perforated by small holes. According to local legend, these holes were used by fairies for cooling porridge.[7]

In 1988 Rothley was involved in a cricketing controversy, when then-England captain Mike Gatting was accused by The Sun and Today newspapers of improprieties with a barmaid at the Rothley Court Hotel.[9] These accusations led to the sacking of Gatting as captain, despite his protestations of innocence.
