Lancing College, see below, has a predominantly 19th Century chapel that is the largest school chapel in the world with the largest stained-glass rose window in England (completed in 1977).

Shoreham Airport, the oldest licensed airfield in the UK, opened in 1911 is in the parish.
We are currently in the process of regeneration and, in partnership with Adur District Council, 'The Lancing Vision' has been produced. Following extensive public and stakeholder consultation, the Vision is a document outlining how we want our village to look in the future.
The centre is open for 7 weeks in total, from 2 July to 19 August 2016. Students can arrive on any Sunday and depart on any Saturday.
The fully-inclusive course fee is £1,075 per week.

Football League club Brighton and Hove Albion train at Mash Barn Lane, Lancing. Some of Albion's fixtures in the Premier League Under 21 competition are played here. Nearby are situated semi-professional Worthing FC who play in the Isthmian League Division 1 South.
The Cambridge FCE & CAE exams are available. Dedicated exam preparation in place of English Skills and Enrichment. 3 week programme is available. FCE Exam on Thurs 27 July 2017. CAE Exam on Thurs 20 July 2017. Exam takes place at Dicker centre or at a local external testing centre.

Lancing was visited by Oscar Wilde in the 1890s when he stayed at nearby Worthing. The working title for his masterpiece The Importance of Being Earnest was Lady Lancing. Wilde's friend and lover, the poet Lord Alfred Douglas lived in nearby Brighton and died while staying at Monk's Farmhouse mentioned above. Lancing was also visited by another poet, Algernon Charles Swinburne, who stayed at The Terrace in the 1880s.
Excursions are a mandatory part of the programme. We offer students the opportunity to visit places of cultural and historical interest, as well as the chance for sightseeing, shopping and amusement.

Separate accommodation on campus for boys and girls. Most bedrooms have 1 or 2 beds. Some larger bedrooms with 3-5 beds are available. Storage space is available. Bathrooms are shared. Where students share their bedroom, it will be with children of the same age and from a different country. Most boarding houses have their own communal space for students to relax.
Transfers from/to Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted Airports and Ashford Train Station are included in the fees at any time of the day. Students are met by Bede's Staff and Bede's Airport Coordinators provide extra care.

Seaside Primary (formerly Freshbrook First School and Thornberry Middle School) is on Freshbrook Road and The Globe Primary (formerly The Willows First School and Oakfield Middle School) is on Irene Avenue. These two schools were formed in 2008-9 when each of the previous middle schools joined with the nearest of the first schools in Lancing. North Lancing Primary School has always been a first and middle school.

Sunday excursions are often more relaxing trips to a local seaside town such as Brighton, Chichester, Eastbourne, Hastings or Worthing, where students can stroll along the beach, have lunch in the park or do some shopping.

The local senior school, The Sir Robert Woodard Academy, formerly Boundstone Community College, just inside the contiguous village of Sompting, is a mixed comprehensive of around 1,100 students from ages 11–18.

Lancing Beach Green, situation directly north of the beach, is considered to be Lancing's entertainment hub and offers a large green space for picnics and games, a children's play area, a health and fitness area, a barbeque area, a refreshment kiosk, an inviting restaurant, a gym, beach showers and modern and well maintained public toilets. It will soon also boast a new skatepark.
Lancing College and its magnificent Chapel dominates the landscape to the north of the A27 and is notably famous for being a national monument and a masterpiece of nineteenth century gothic design.
