Jacquey's house was perfect for us largely because of the book collection. Gave the house a real personality, one that we found very sympathetic and friendly. We had an exceptionally happy and relaxed holiday there.
3 storey house with fabulous loft conversion. We slept in the loft and wakened to a view of the river and harbour every morning. First floor has 2 bedrooms and modern bathroom. It was ideal for 2 couples who want 2 bathrooms. Kitchen had every utensil known to man. Amazing and eclectic selection of books. We had been warned that parking could be a problem but we parked easily and reasonably near to the cottage but that could be different in summer. Even the weather was kind.
Jacquey's house is a lovely comfortable house, we loved all the books, CDs, games and toy box the helped to make it feel like home. Great location with 2 good pubs close by.

Not all women experience hot flushes going through the menopause, but most do. Three out of every four menopausal women have hot flushes. They’re characterised by a sudden feeling of heat which seems to come from nowhere and spreads through your body. They can include sweating, palpitations, and a red flush (blushing), and vary in severity from woman to woman.

It’s important to let your doctor know before you take a complementary therapy because it may have side effects (for example liver damage has been reported with black cohosh) or mix badly with prescription medicines (red clover is unsuitable for women taking anticoagulants).

A fantastic little house, in a fantastic location. Apart from the lack of parking close by (which was more than manageable), this was a great base from which to explore Cornwall for the first time with our boys (4 & 8). The house had everything we needed and was great to come back to and relax in after a busy day out and about. Hopping on the ferry to Falmouth was always fun, as was crab fishing off the quayside, and I'm sure we caught the same 5 crabs each night.
In its 200th anniversary year (2016) the church faced up to the inevitable effects of declining membership and decided to close the chapel for public worship. The chapel building has now been declared as "Purpose Fulfilled" while community leaders - supported by the Methodist Circuit - seek a new purpose for the building.

Hot flushes usually continue for several years after your last period. But they can carry on for many, many years – even into your 70s or 80s. They’re probably caused by hormone changes affecting the body’s temperature control.

The handsome, green village of Flushing, just opposite the busy port of Falmouth has a slightly different feel to it, perhaps because it was settled by a Dutch community in the 17th century, who hailed from Vlissingen in Holland, also known as Flushing. Various ships’ captains also favoured this village and built themselves impressive Queen Anne style houses. Like its larger neighbour Falmouth, shipbuilding and repairing has been the stock trade of this village for hundreds of years.
