In the Boys 200IM heats James McClenn swam 2:25.27 (5th fastest time) and Sam Clark archived 2:31.74 (22nd place).

The show will be held on September 3rd 2016 in Stone and Silsden Meadows, Chalfont St Giles, HP8 4QF (South of Pheasant Hill).

We return to our traditional site in Stone Meadow, after having to move our venue for the last two years due to wet and poor conditions. We are looking forward to bringing the show back to its rightful home in the heart of the village. The show team would really like to thank all the villagers and visitors who supported the show whilst we were at Cameron Farm.

Like most other rural parishes it managed its civil affairs through the vestry until the Local Government Act 1894 required all parishes of over 300 people to have a Parish council independent of the Church.

Whilst most of you were relaxing on a beach this summer, these 3 teenagers were training hard in Denham and Bray Lakes with 2 visits a week to the sea to get used to the waves and the cold.

Drawn in lane 3 the girls 12 medley relay got us underway. For most it was their 2nd or 3rd year swimming in the team competitions but we had our brand new 9year old boys and girls team pulling on the otters hat for the first time.

The practice, which has a Christian foundation, was started in 1977 when Dr Derek Munday took over a single-handed practice in Wokingham Road, Earley. It expanded rapidly throughout the 1970s and 80s when Lower Earley was built, and we now serve about 26,500 people from our three surgeries in Earley, Lower Earley and Winnersh.

50 fly Daniella Hoyland 35.27 (31st), Zebina George 33.47 (33rd) and Olivia Lee with a brilliant swim in the final 32.50 (5th).

Our show committee is all fired up and planning a fantastic line up for 3rd Sep. Competition classes for the theme 'All Creatures Great and Small' are in place and COMPETITIONS ARE NOW OPEN!! Visit our Competitions page here. Hard copy schedules are now available from the Show's main sponsor, Yalden DIY & Garden, and also from our main agents listed here.

Some time in the next week, Senior Girls Captain Sammy Farnfield, along with Llewelyn Woodward (Club Squad) and their school friend Jamie Nottage, will be attempting to swim the English Channel!

Chalfont St Peter has a Non-League football team Chalfont St Peter A.F.C. who play at Mill Meadow.

The girls 4x100 freestyle team (Sadie Lucas, Zoe Jackson, Georgina Vane & Zebina George) finished 16th place (4:32.47).

"Chalfonts" is one of many variations of Cockney rhyming slang for piles, derived from Chalfont St Giles, but, as is typical with Cockney rhyming slang, the part of the phrase which rhymes with the derivative is omitted. There is a Viz comic strip named Nobby's Piles, in which the protagonist, Nobby, uses a range of slang expressions when referring to his haemorrhoids, including "Ooh, me chalfonts!"

The local football club is Chalfont Wasps, which was promoted to the Hellenic Football League Premier Division for the 2008–09 season. They play their home games at 'The Nest'. Chalfont St Giles has a tennis club, affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association.[13] The village is home to Oakland Park Golf Club, and nearby to Harewood Downs Golf Club.

Welcome back I hope you had a good summer break. Sorry for the delay in posting these.

This will also be the last event the current Social Team will be organising. This is a committee position ideal for someone whose child/children are just beginning their Otters adventure and who would like to but a little back into the club. If anyone is interested in please let us know.
