The current Roman Baths education facility consists of just one room within the museum. It is too small for up to date learning requirements, lacks the facilities that schools expect to find at a major visitor attraction and is often booked to capacity. The new Learning Centre will provide the full breadth of facilities required for a school to get the most out of their visit, in revived formed Victorian spa buildings.
The Archway Road is part of the A1 or Great North Road, one of the original toll roads. From 1813–1864, Archway was the site of a toll gate, where travellers had to pay for the next stage of their journey. A plaque on the block of flats at 1 Pauntley Street commemorates the gate.
These are at the front of the property with views of the fells and large en-suites with both bath and shower.

Topographically Archway is of medium elevation between Highgate above and Islington below and has seven small parks and two large parks, border parks considered: a large proportion of the west of Archway is Whittington Hospital beyond which is a larger area divided between Highgate Cemetery and Waterlow Park.
The Archway Tower, at 2 Junction Road, Archway, London N19, is a 195-foot (59 m) office building built over Archway tube station and was completed in 1963. Local opinion is divided on the tower, some finding it architecturally unattractive, while others welcomed the fact that it brought employment to the area, as well as office workers who patronize small local businesses.

Archway has come to designate the smaller than 0.4 square miles (1.0 km2) catchment of its underground station relative to all other stations. The official parishes and neighbourhoods within its definition are Highgate and Upper Holloway with a very small part of Islington. Upper Holloway has become in modern use generally restricted to the smaller catchment around its railway station and post office.
