What is it like in Ringwood?

Ringwood still has a lively Wednesday morning street market and has remained a delightful, unspoilt historic town with both quaint and modern shops, street entertainment, restaurants, pubs and cafes. The town is an ideal touring base for anybody visiting the New Forest.

Ringwood has a weekly market in the traditional market place. A cattle market ran until 1989 in the Furlong, which is now home to a Waitrose supermarket, coffee shops and fashion outlets. Ringwood was noted as the second most expensive market town in England in July 2008 with average property prices of over £380,000.[9]

Your comments will be invaluable in measuring the viability of activities and events on the High Street and we would urge you to fill in this questionnaire  and return it by 31st August 2016 to the Town Council Offices.

A bypass of the town was completed in two stages; the first to the west in the 1940s[10] and the second to the east in 1975.[11] The other significant road is the A338, which goes north to Salisbury.
