“I've been towing for over 20 years and picked up a good few tips that I wish I'd known years ago. Well worth the time and money” - Phillip, County Durham

Luxury wooden lodges with views across the beautiful Chiltern Hills.

The countryside around Oxford has its own delights. Not to be missed is the magnificent Baroque house – Blenheim Palace and its fine parkland in Woodstock. The Oxfordshire Museum is here too and tells the story of Oxfordshire through its galleries and exhibitions. The Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens is also worth a visit.

Hi Cathie, … You run a fabulous campsite – we had a great time and hope to return soon. Cheers, Derek,  15th July 2013

Watch the world's greatest rowing event from this über-cool Thameside campsite.

A brilliantly run campsite. I’ve lived in Scotland and Norway for most of my adult life so I’m used to camping where I like, not on a campsite. The antisocial git in me feels that camping is about getting away from everyone else! Banning cars from the paddock and allowing fires really makes it feel […]

Just a note to say thank you very much for the camping. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and the relaxed manner in which you run the site is a real plus point along with the beautiful setting. A real breath of fresh air. Alex R,  2nd August 2013.

I just wanted to send you a quick note to say what a lovely time we had at Northmoor Lock Paddocks. We were all fascinated by the L’Urinaire and thought the composting toilets were some of the best kept that we have seen.  We liked the fact that there were no cars – it felt […]

Thank you for the best camping weekend ever. My 8 year old said his sleep in the Bell Tent was the best he had ever had and wants to live in a Bell Tent when he’s older! The campsite was full of happy campers. The site was clean, well run and in such an iydlic […]

We’ve been camping at Northmoor Lock Paddocks since it was first opened, and it has gone from strength to strength whilst completely maintaining it’s integrity as a small, beautiful eco-friendly campsite. I love the showers – it’s the closest most of us will get to an outdoor shower experience and the convenience of the recycling […]

Civilised and simple campsite surrounded by all the delicious Oxfordshire and Cotswolds village food offerings.

Dear Cathie, I wanted to write to say thank you so much for a wonderful weekend. Your campsite is idyllic – please don’t change a thing! I know it helped that we had glorious sunshine and so were in the river several times a day, but we all truly felt like we had found a […]

Just sitting at the dock of the bay…ok maybe not, but this site is just as peaceful, and definitely worthy of an Otis redding song. Fabulously chilled.

When you take a stroll through our garden which leads to the village you will often see our Pekin bantams scratching amongst the flower beds,..they’re a real favourite with the children.

Blackgrounds Farm, Culworth Rd, Edgecote, Nr Chipping Warden, Oxfordshire OX17 1LZ

I just wanted to say that we had the best time at your campsite. In fact the whole group said it was the best one we have ever been to and between us we have been to a few! The setting is marvellous, the toilets, showers and recycling really great, proximity to the pub with excellent […]

Stunning location, great facilities (basic but functional) and a feeling that you are free rather than regimented with lines and rules. Kids can go totally feral and help with breakfast cooked over the fire. There is a great adventure park at the top of the lane and take bikes or scooters for the long downhill […]
