This campsite, although large is spacious with some 250 pitches, offers many quiet and secluded pitches and there are lots of separate areas to choose from. The site is well laid out with well- maintained facilities including washing machine and dryers, inside dish washing area, an outdoor play area and dog walk.

The secluded, woodland setting of our Theobalds Park Club campsite belies its location just inside London’s orbital M25 motorway. Although just off the M25 the campsite is in the heart of the Hertfordshire countryside. The nearby Lee Valley Park will appeal to nature lovers, walkers, cyclists and fishermen. While further west woodland, grassland, heath, rivers and ponds make up the vast expanse of Epping Forest, the largest public open space in the London area.

A public footpath runs right through the campsite which is part of the Kingisher Way which follows the course of the River Ivel for 20 miles from its source at Ivel Springs near Baldock to where it meets the River Great Ouse. One field to the south you join the the Garden City Greenway, a 13.6 mile circular path and cycleway around the World's first Garden city.

The nearest options from the campsite involve a walk into Hertford where there are a few good restaurants and a couple of modern pubs. For a more rural feel, walk across the fields to Hertford Heath, more easily reached by car in 5 minutes. The village has three pubs: the Goat (01992 535788), the Silver Fox (01992 589023) and the College Arms (01992 558856), all of which serve food and have a warm, local atmosphere.

We welcome well behaved and controlled dogs on the site and have direct access to an extensive network of puplic footpaths to walk them.

We have lots of sites that are a perfect base for long walks amongst the fallen leaves or fun weekend breaks with the kids. Visit a spooky castle for Halloween or see the striking autumn colours at an arboretum, it’s a great time to go touring.
