I run a Netball Team, playing at my local center in Rainham, Kent. There are 10 female players in my team. We play in the third division, mainly for fun and fitness but with determination to win our games and hopefully go up a division. We are in need of sponsorship to pay for a team kit and to help with the costs of playing in both the summer and winter leagues. We currently fund all of this ourselves, but with rising costs and the need for a new kit, it's come to the time to ask for help. The team kit would cost £500, balls & pump would cost £30 and our annual fees cost £650. Any help towards these costs would be gratefully appreciated so we can continue playing the sport we all very much enjoy. Thank you

I have a 7 aside football team in Bangor, and have have just bought new kit and am looking at having a sponsor logo on the shirts. The sponsorship provided would merely be to pay for printing on the shirts in return for the business's logo on the front of shirt, which would be displayed to lots of students during tournaments every sunday and tuesday during term time for the rest of this academic year and the next one too. This would cost, for 9 shirts, in the range of £30-£60 (however i can get more specific quotes) and is the only cost. If there is any interest, please message me. Thankyou.

I have an idea for a mobile phone game based around metal detecting/treasure hunting. In my head it seems like a good and fun sounding game and contains just enough elements of metal detecting to attract both enthusiasts and causal gamers to play it. There's nothing like it on the app store at the moment and ive emailed a proposal of my idea to several app development companies, quotes were around the £12,500 mark. I have some beginner knowledge in app development but nowhere near what this will require. So i need investment. Whats kickstarter/crowdfunding like? Is there anything to stop someone just stealing good ideas off those websites? My other idea was to approach a metal detecting manufacturer and ask for some kind of "sponsorship", so instead of it being a genereic metal detecting game, it could be named after them and include their products perhaps. My initial thoughts were to generate revenue via an ad banner and in-app purchases, but they probably wouldnt like the ad banner idea as they'd want to be the only company getting any sort of push from it. What could i offer them to most likely secure investment? Equity? Lifetime naming/sponsorship? Can anyone help with how best to set things movong down this avenue?

Hi Terry As well as running my own business I am also a Life Vice President of a local club similar to yours but larger. From experience writing to local businesses doesn't work. Two routes to look at are 1, writing to and cajoling the parents of the children within your club either for direct sponsorship if they are self employed or if they work for a company get them to ask their employers. We raised some decent money this way. 2, If you have any large suppliers ask them on the basis your scratching their back etc: We raised some small sums this way. The reason for forming Funding for Communities was to help clubs like yours raise money. If I can be of any further help let me know. Mike

Hi Since our inception in 2005 we have strived to give children the best chance in life through Angling based education . Since the cut backs which have hit hard here in thr North East we have gone from 15 children a week to maybe one a week all this is down to funding cuts and loss of staff . Is it not better to see kids doing something usefull with their free time instead of hanging about on the streets ALL we ask is that you have a look at the press story and see if you can offer some help in the form of sponsorship or donations or even something that we can auction off TOM C Director/Instructor NB we all do this for free Please use the Northern Echo to read our story under search put fishing charity and click on fishing charity on the verge of closing THANK YOU

I'm urgently looking for a sponsor and need to secure one by the end of January of this year. I play American Football for the DCPresidents who are a semi-professional team based in County Durham. My individual sponsorship will give you an abundance of marketing and advertisement. You will be listed as my personal sponsor in the gameday programme (last home game saw over 1000 spectators), you're logo/name will be applied to my game jersey, you will be advertised on our website and you will also receive complimentary tickets to each home game through the season. The home games are all played at Esh Stadium, Belmont, County Durham. The cost I am looking for is only £240.00 for a full 12 month period. Please, if anyone needs their business advertised then this is the ideal way to do it. For any further information please contact me. It should also be noted that you will receive an invoice and a VAT receipt for the sponsorship. Thank you Andy Wake #2 DCPresidents

David, Im not sure whether this opportunity has gone yet as the original post was in october. However, our team is desperate for sponsors like yourself as we need kit to play in an up and coming international tournament in Costa Blanca, Spain. The costa blanca cup is one of the largest amateur 11-a-side tournaments around and sponsorship would mean your business would get great exposure. The kit would also be used after the tour to play in our league games which take place weekly. If interested it would be great if you could email me or reply on here many thanks M Siddaway Pink Flamingos FC

Hi sorry if this is in the wrong place but I could really do with some help/advice on this! I am currently setting up an online radio station, playing new and undiscovered music. We will be based in Leeds but not branded as such, so although for promotional activities we will be focussing on Leeds, for station sound we won't have a Leeds association. We will be aimed at the 13-30 year old demographic and feel that the main consumers of our product will be students. I was wondering if I could ask what your thoughts were regarding advertisng on the station and whether you consider online radio if as a viable marketing platform. I have plenty of experience in radio and work at one of the UK's largest stations. I fully believe that for the target audience there is huge potential for this station to be a success! Current plans are for £120 a month with 84 spots per week. There are also discounts when ordered for longer periods of time. Further to this there will be openings for sponsorship of the station as well as website advertising space. If you could give any feedback, that would be amazing. We also have a survey set up via the link below! And can offer discount rates to people who provide their details! surveymonkey.com/s/3SCCX3S Thank you so much!

Hi I work for arts alive (incorporating Flicks in the Sticks). We work mainly in Shropshire and Herefordshire and just over the borders, mainly in the rural areas. Working closely with local people we help organise over 900 events a year to audiences of over 30,000. Events are chosen by local people and range from high quality theatre, dance, family shows and films. We have managed to evade most of the scathing cuts in arts funding so far - mainly because of our local support on the ground. Part of our new deal with our current funders is that we try to strike up a Sponsorship Deal with a company, who would like to reach people in rural the rural parts. Apart from the warm feeling of supporting rural communities, any sponsorship could deliver tangible business benefits. We produce 10's of thousand of pieces of print every year, which is distributed widely throughout the area. We also have a great website and email alert system, both of which are well used. If anyone might be interested in such a partnership do PM me. Our website is www.artsalive.co.uk Thanks

Hi all, So, I'm taking it upon myself to contact local businesses in a hope to gain sponsorship for my sons under 11 football team (currently top of their league With the winter weather getting ever closer, that lack of rain jackets/tracksuits for the boys is a concern and the club need some help in finding a sponsor. We're looking for anything from £500-£1000 to kit the boys out with all of the above and really make sure that they're equipped as best they can be. So what do you get for this? business name/logo across the shirts of a local team with a great reputation as well as featuring on their website. In addition a deal could be done (depending on type of business) so that parents/target audience use your companies service as preference. I haven't had to place an advert locally for some time (since moving out of management/sales) however; do know that it costs far in excess of the small sponsorship we're looking for, to place an advert for 1 DAY (let alone a season) in either the local paper/radio etc - so this is really a great opportunity for some great value advertising for you! As said, I'm just one of the parents trying to do what they can to support the team and help make sure all the kids are looked after, but please contact me directly if you're able to help and I can put you in touch with the team chairman. I wish you all the best for your businesses for 2013/14 and beyond. Yours sincerely, Paul

Hi all, Suz here wondering if anyone out there could help with some advertising/ sponsorship for the Shotton Steel under 15's team. My boys have just joined and play prop, the team is seriously under funded and I have taken it upon myself to try and get some help with funding and press coverage. I would like if possible to supply the boys with an away shirt, this gives any interested company the perfect advertising medium, I am also looking for banner type advertising and am considering a quarterly Deeside Area Sport's booklet that can be distributed to the local population, which would include local company advertising. I would point out that the seniors The Steelmen are having a very successful season and you could be sponsoring or helping the next "George North". Any help or advise or support would be gratefully received. Thanks Suz

Hi all, just a quick post. I am involved with a non-league football club Wivenhoe Town F.C. (based near Colchester, Essex) who play in the Ridgeons Premier Division, level 9 of the football league pyramid. We have a charity football match coming up against Arsenal ex-pro and celebrity side. We are offering companies the opportunity to display a 6x2ft pitchside banner on our perimeter wall for just £50 (purchaser provides the banner). As a bonus, we will continue to display the banner throughout the 2011/12 season at no extra cost and throw in a free season ticket. We will also include your details on our website found by typing wivenhoe town into google. Thsi we feel is a great way for companies to support community and charity efforts whilst raising peoples awareness of your name. Its a great price too as many clubs at our level charge 3 or 4 times if not more. Basically we are rebuilding the club from all perspectives and after 2 years efforts currently have a major investor on board and a charity who will be using our facilities throughout the week. There are many plans in the pipeline to improve our Broad Lane Stadium and Clubhouse and a host of these are being implemented as i type this. One major area we are looking to improve is sponsorship. We will have several thousand DIFFERENT faces visit our Broad Lane Stadium over the course of a year and as things continue to grow, this figure will become every month! Its an exciting club to be involved with and we would do our upmost to support every company that comes on board by spreading their name as much as we can. If this may be of interest please do not hesitate to contact me via a private message on leave your details and i will contact you. Thanks for taking your time to read this post. Hopefully this was ok to do so on this site. Many thanks Jon WTFC

I represent a charitable organisation which runs Youth Football in Hatfield Peverel (just outside Chelmsford) in Essex. Established in 1903 we are FA charter standard accredited, which means we meet the highest levels of safeguarding our 250 children aged 4-16 who are part of the club. In 2014 after many years of hard work we moved into our excellent new facilites with 8 pitches and a new clubhouse and changing rooms. This has enabled us to grow from 9 youth to 16 youth teams in the 2015/2016 season. Howver, the new site has also seen an increase in our fixed costs and therefore we are under greater pressure than ever to secure funding and sponsorship to enable us to continue to grow. We are looking for local businessses, and businesses with a link to Essex to support our club via sponsorship. We have a range of packages available, from links to our popular website, to pitchside banners to full sponsorship of childrens teams. We have already written to all local businesses but hope that that forum will reach a wider audience. Thanks for reading Terry

Sponsorship

My son is an ambitious junior tennis player of almost 14 years of age, based in Leicestershire. He is currently ranked 19 in Europe in the 14U category, and has already reached 3 finals (winning one) in European 14U singles events this season. He trains hard and loves to compete, but, as you can imagine, travelling around Europe to play tournaments is far from cheap. Prince generously provide him with rackets, string and bags, and he receives a modest amount of funding from the LTA, but this still leaves a very substantial amount of outgo if we are to continue to enable him to compete at an appropriate level. Hence we are looking for sponsorship from one or more local businesses who might benefit from exposure of this nature. From a business viewpoint, the opportunity to gain some form of publicity among high level tennis players, parents and spectators (who are generally a high disposable income group) should be valuable. We are particularly looking for an association with businesses involved in air transport, accommodation or car hire, as these are the major expenses. He also has no clothing sponsor, so a provider or distributor of sportswear may find this of interest. My son is of course still a 'work in progress' at this stage, but he is an attacking player who adheres to high standards of behaviour on court. He should therefore portray a positive image for any sponsor. If anyone is interested in this opportunity, please make contact via this forum initially. We will be happy to meet with anyone who is seriously interested.

To whom it may concern, My name is Dan Roberts and I am the Player/Manager of King Billy FC. King Billy are a 5 a side team consisting of 14/15 year olds and play their games at Gol Centre, Cardiff. The club has been running for just over a month now and in that time we have had many success and have managed to find a playing kit sponsor. We are very proud of our achievements and the hard work of a lot of people connected with the club has also led to on-field success. There are however many expenses connected with running the club and we rely for funding solely on our own fundraising events and player's money. Our search for a new training kit sponsor for the coming season has so far been unsuccessful. If it were possible we would very much welcome the opportunity to speak to you about this. The major expense for the club is paying for our training jackets. We were hoping that this might be something you would consider helping us with. In return for your sponsorship we would of course be proud to wear your company's logo on our Nike training kit and for you to be listed as our key sponsor on our club website and twitter page. We can provide you with further details and a full break down of the likely costs of any deal and I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you further about this. Thank you for giving this your consideration. Best Regards Dan Roberts King Billy FC Player/Manager

HI Everyone, This is my first post however i expect there will be many more coming soon!! this is in fact my first forum post anywhere, ever. so i'm hoping that i can hit the ground running!!! I've had an idea for a new event which having had my BP reviewed by 3 independent advisers i believe it to be solid. the question they could not answer was this..... "Is it the done thing to approach major players in an industry about the event first, to acquire sponsorship, or should i launch the sponsorship package to the entire market and hope that the major players take up the sponsorship opportunities? I want to be open to all sponsors but really need a big name to get behind the event. Is there a process for approaching key industry manufacturers in a kind of "respectful" way?? to let them know in advance about the event?? I hope that makes sense to everyone and hope as a first poster, i can get an idea from someone Thank You.

Hi, I represent a prominent amateur rugby league club in Huddersfield and we are looking for sponsorship for new kits for the Open Age team to play in as our current kits are ageing rapidly and need replacing. Sponsoring the team would get your company advertised round our ground just outside of Huddersfield town center as well as the possibility of club wear with your company on to turn our players into walking billboards for your company away from match days. On match days depending on factors such as the prominence of the match and of course the british weather spectators can range from 50-500. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me. Rhys Gapper Open Age Treasurer St Josephs ARLFC

Hi all, I've recently joined the forum to seek occasional advice and make contacts that I hope will help me fulfil my role to the best of my ability. I work for a social enterprise offering free PR, communications and related services to charities and other not for profit organisations free of charge. We've been pretty successful taking charities on, but our main challenge now is funding for ourselves. Ideally we would like ongoing corporate sponsorship, but it's not something I've done before so any advice would be appreciated! If any charities or NFPs need a helping hand with ideas, then please get in touch. Even if I can't help, I will hopefully be able to point you in the right direction. Richard

Hello Everyone, I'm starting up a music and culture magazine '3RD EYE Magazine', its a prince's trust supported start-up. An innovative A6 publication which makes it perfectly pocket sized. Our first issue is releasing in April, then every two months after that. My target market is from 18-25 years old, students and young professionals. Publishing music, fashion, food and culture articles. distributing 20,000 at London's biggest clubs, universities, student halls, student unions and shops. I'm seeking a sponsorship deal, in return I'm offering 30 pages of advertising/advertorials on the magazine. This sponsorship has huge potential, there will be no advertising in the magazine except that of the sponsors, which gives a huge amount of creative freedom for marketing a brand. Some of the locations the magazine will be distributed are: Universities and Student Halls Locations Southbank University London College of Communication Student's Accommodation Building Kings College Waterloo Campus London College of Fashion Westminster College Birkbeck, University of London University College London Institute of Education Student Union University of London Union Student Union (students from 18 self-governing Colleges and 10 other specialist research Institutes) University of the Arts London Student Union Goldsmith's Student Union Fashion Retail Academy SOAS Club Distribution Fabric Brixton Electric Ministry of Sound Plan B Oval Space Egg Brixton Jamm Bespoke Shop Distribution Rough Trade West End Big Chill Bar Rokit Camden Beyond Retro ADIDAS Size Phonica Record Shop Rio Cinema West End Film Shop Broadway Market I am open to sponsorship deals with various business sectors, so if you know someone or are working with a brand that is actively seeking to tap into my target market, please do no hesitate to get into contact with me.
