Hello Everyone! Its good to have forums where you can get and share ideas with others. As a way of introduction I would like to tell you a little bit about one our products. We have developed a comprehensive Leaflet Distribution Management Software Package that, we believe, can induce that much extra to any company using it. Companies distributing marketing brochures in the Leisure and Tourism Industry industries (to give any example - doesn't matter what leaflets/brochures they are though) would find this package a useful tool in their pursuit to give more value to their customer. It handles stock , costings of leaflet distribution, packing and delivery note reports, label printing , TIC/TIP (Tourist Information Centers/Points) leaflet order forms . It does much more . You can even send your customers PDF reports of what has been delivered to date. If you are reading this and you are not in this business (leaflet/brochure distribution), no problem as you might know someone who could find this package opening more opportunities for them. The question is would you choose to tell them ? I found this site through search engines, I am pleased I did it looks just the thing I was looking for. Best Regards to anyone reading Edwin

I came across this forum earlier today when looking up leaflet distribution practices and agree with some of the comments posted above but some do seem to be slightly off like charging £15 for 1000 leaflets to be delivered is definitely not worth doing and would cost more in time and money, if anyone driving a car to a location, on petrol alone if someone had to first pick the leaflets up or drive to the delivery location. I have started my own leaflet distribution business which delivers weeknights and all day on weekends. I charge £32 for 1000 leaflets and also deliver newspapers, business cards, catalogues etc for reasonable prices. I deliver ALL leaflets and items myself in the Belfast area and use a GPS Logger to record my movements, speeds and length of time it took to complete a delivery. The customer will get emailed daily or sent a printed copy of all routes taken when I am finished and they can call anyone in the streets delivered to to confirm this. An example of a dummy route in belfast I drove in my car a few days ago can be shown as proof of how the system works. Email me if interested and click on the distribution button. Thanks, Henry

Hi Aaron Pollock, According to my opinion ASA distribution is a leading leaflet/flyer distribution company amongst London that Leaflet distribution is an extremely effective method of getting a message directly to a market. Leaflet distribution places a message into the hands or letterboxes of a target market. It is an extremely popular form of marketing that is particularly effective for promoting services or products that are specific to particular regions or demographics. The process of getting the leaflets out is fairly rudimentary.

Hello, New to the forum, I am a manager in Letterbox Marketing Ireland and I can tell you that everything has changed in the company atleast since I've came on board. The thing with leaflet distribution is it's so hard to know who to trust, with many people not doing the full amount and maybe dumping the remainder. I oversee the storage, distribution and returns of each clients leaflets. I also manage the team leaders, workers and vans of the company. This was never done before and I can tell you that one person over seeing the lot has far more controll than 2 or 3 departments. I have just set up my own company where we will distribute certain quanities of leaflets. SmilePrint if you tell me what company the leaflets were booked under I would be more that happy to look into what exactly happened to your drop. Nothing annoys me more than the actions of the past management getting us labled as a bad company. Gerard

Hi everyone. We are simple leaflet distribution. A brand new business based on the outskirts of sunderland. We are here hoping to get some tips and advice on finding new clients. So far we are getting a fair amount of interest, but nothing confirmed. We offer a very competitively priced distribution service and, by working with our printing partn, we can offer a full design, print and distribution service.. You can find more info about us on our website. (We can't post it yet due to low post count, but its not too hard to find.) We would be very grateful for any advice. Many thanks. Kelly and Craig at simple leaflet distribution.

Hello everyone, I'm new here but have been looking about here for quite awhile. I personally run a pond maintenance business but i'm here too ask advice for a friend. Currently my friend is employed part time on minimum wage with awful working hours that shouldn't really be legal. He really dislikes his job but can't find anything that's much more of a step up the ladder. I suggested to him to start his own leaflet distribution venture as he did this in the past for me to promote my business with really good effect. I have used quite a few 'distribution' people in the past and no doubt about it they did not get delivered. I personally think he should offer a premium solus service, so that the customer knows there leaflet wont hit the mat with 4 others and end up in the bin. Has anyone here had good results with shared delivery? As I have always found it much less effective. He basically needs to find out what sort of potential customers he wants to work with and what sort of prices he should be charging. He is based in the Rugby, Warwickshire area but cannot drive so that does restrict him. I also suggested GPS tracking a piece of mind for the customers. But i'm not sure the logistics of this and how it would all work. Any advice would be appreciated Kind regards, Connor

Seems the general consensus is that if you hire delivery company you get little or no response but if you do it yourself you fare better! however its not that black and white whilst I understand the nightmare scenarios detailed in this thread all distribution companies shouldn't be tarred with the same brush. Yes you guessed it I run a leaflet distribution company so of course I going to defend the industry a bit however I do understand why it generally has a bad reputation. The obvious reason why you would use a company such as myself is that you want to advertise this way but you'd rather spend your time on your core business activities rather than pounding the streets. What I do with my clients is show them this benefit and if they are happy to proceed I get all agreed objectives in place, areas, rates & quality control(back checks etc) although that all seems obvious I've been amazed to hear how many companies don't even get those basics right. As for payment I do stipulate payment in advance only because when I first started up I agreed to take payment afterwards just to get the work and then spent best part of 5 weeks trying to get it not good when you've delivered 10k on your own!! anyways if you only have 200-500 to deliver then it maybe best to do it yourself even though that little would surely only be a test! btw our personal best was 1206 for one day and the area was full of long driveways and big houses as well. As said I do still understand why people shy away from using a leaflet distribution company however I would check out everything beforehand and you never know you maybe pleasantly surprised plus you've saved yourself valuable time as well.

Hi guys. I am looking at setting up a business which involves leaflet distribution. I have had an idea to create a unique leaflet for potential clients. Our leaflet will be called bobs building ltd (Example name) We will charge clients £40 per month to advertise their services on our leaflet. Our leaflet will promote services such as heating, plumbing and building etc.. We distribute between 1,000 to 50,000 leaflets each month depending on the amount of interest from businesses. 1000 Leaflets distributed = £40 100 businesses interested x £40 per month = £4000. 10 businesses interested x £40 per month = £400 5000 leaflets printed & distributed = £325 Profit = £75 50,000 leaflets Printed & distributed = £2875. Profit = £1125 How does it work? Clients call us up on our free phone number or contact us via e-mail, We get in touch with our client and arrange an appointment to generate a sales lead and don't charge any extra Please leave your feedback on what you think of my idea. Kind regards Ryan O'Neill

Hi, I have been reading this forum for a while and have paid particular interest to this thread as I have recently started my own business as a leaflet distribution company. I am an ex postman and my employees are the same, we pass on our skills learnt as postmen to the delivery of leaflets, we make sure that every single leaflet you pay for gets delivered, we offer solus delivery only, we wear uniform and take care to shut gates and ensure that the leaflets are delivered in A1 condition. We charge a fair price for a job well done. I have seen members say that a fair price would be £15 per 1000 leaflets delivered. I don't know how any company can charge £15 per 1000 for solus leaflet delivery this would mean that you would be paying your staff less than £4 per hour to deliver them. If you need leaflets delivered (posted through letterboxes not stuffed into garden gates, left on pathways etc) then give me a pm, but expect to pay a fair price, but for that you will be guaranteed a very good job and all of your leaflets delivered. my website is leaflet-post-uk.co.uk I built it myself so your comments on it would be appreciated

Hi All , I would like to say i used to use marketing and leaflet companies in northern Ireland and the best by far was local-post.co.uk . They always brought high response rates from the leaflet distribution campaigns and they offer a more personal service which made using local-post.co.uk a pleasant and very rewarding experience, highly recommended .

I used to work for printing.com in belfast and from time to time we'd get clients if provided a leaflet distribution service. We recommended they contact a local newspaper/mail distributor directly and avail of their services.

Hello, I have recently established a leaflet distribution company, based In Epsom Surrey. My initial response has been well received, although local businesses have been a little apprehensive with regard to the tricks of trade being widely used and reported. Most people who happen to be outside when I deliver are happy to receive them, but a large amount are destined for their dustbins, I try to advise customers to have a leaflet designed that is to the point, (unlike this thread) and offer some information that may influence the customer to keep the leaflet longer. For example a Carpet cleaner could offer some useful cleaning tips for spills etc, or a perhaps a pizza restaurant could include a favourite recipe, But my top tip is to have your company logo on a fridge magnet and have it stuck to the top left hand corner of your leaflet, That way I can also charge you more to deliver lol. I hope this can be of some help to anyone considering a leaflet campaign. Paul "Leafet2us"

Hi A colleague phoned me today and asked if i knew any leaflet distribution companies that came recommended in the Bournemouth and Dorset area. I did suggest Fox Agency but it appears they are restricted in the areas they deliver to. Can anyone recommend a company they may have used in the past? Many thanks Steve

Hello All! I'm in the final stages of a business acquisition (trendy takeaway type) in city centre Bristol at the moment. As marketing has previously been neglected and I don't require a salary from the business at the moment, I intend to invest quite a bit of money into advertising. I have a rather lengthy list of low-cost, high-impact ideas that I will press forward with (including creative guerrilla marketing campaigns); however, I think I will begin with a leaflet distribution as it is a simple immediate solution. I am looking at Tiger Leaflet Distribution at the moment ( tiger-leaflet-distribution(dot)co(dot)uk ) as a potential servicer. Their website looks solid, but I am having trouble finding much about their company online (reviews or otherwise); they do offer inclusive GPS tracking, which is quite attractive to me. They currently offer a print + distribute package of 50,000 for ~£2K. There are roughly 120K homes in Bristol, meaning this would cover a substantial radius around the premise. (Yes, I know this quantity is rather unorthodox for a "takeaway"...I'll share more post-acquisition, but it is a trendy city-centre place that we will be turning into a franchise; we would like to solidify the brand image). Any thoughts on this approach? Furthermore, does anyone have a company they could recommend that could be competitive to the aforementioned price? I look forward to hearing some comments. Addison

Leaflet Distribution

Hello All, I have just started a leaflet distribution company in Northern Ireland and am determined to provide a quality, reliable service. Getting paid afterwards would leave me open to getting ripped off - I can't exactly go and get all the leaflets back if you don't pay. How else can I earn your trust? I am a very open and honest person, and have started the business with my father. We currently have about 6 people who we have talked to about delivering for us, once the orders build up. They are all trustworthy people and I intend to monitor them closely. As a legitimate company who won't dump your leaflets, how do I earn your trust? William

Can anyone recommend a flyer company that delivers around mid-glamorgan area? There are a few online I've found but they either charge extra for outside cardiff or don't look very professional. I know you need to be careful of leaflet distribution as alot of companies may scam you and throw the leaflets away.

Hi We want to start a leaflet distribution business specialised on vouchers in Manchester (starting in Rusholme area). Are there any of you who used a leaflet distribution company recently? We would like to know how much you paid so we can price our services right. For the first month we intend to offer the service for a very competitive price. We will be able to give details after your feedback. Any comment and/or advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks

The Leaflet Distribution industry in full of pitfalls, many can be avoided, and when ever you speak to people many have negative views of these distributions. I am simply pointing out the facts. As I am not promoting a company I can tell the truth, but I am sure very many leaflets companies would agree with what I am saying.
